I've been using gaming for foreign language teaching since before it was "cool" so it's exciting to find like-minded colleagues . My first big project, an email murder mystery, received an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Online Course Award from the Paul Allen Virtual Education Foundation in 1998. That was back in the days when I had to teach students how to use email. After half a decade working in an administrative role I'm now happily re-ensconced in teaching and working on an ARIS game to teach students about life in Nazi-occupied Paris.
